VINEBERG
COMMUNICATIONS WINS LACP MAGELLAN AWARD FOR TOP PUBLICITY
CAMPAIGN OF 2003
Vineberg Communications has been named a 2003 Magellan
Award winner in the annual publicity campaign competition sponsored
by the League of American Communications Professionals.
The agency was honored for a multi-year campaign that launched Webshots,
a leading online photo site, after their founders reacquired the company during
the Excite@Home bankruptcy proceedings in 2001. Webshots provides some 30 million
customers with a variety of ways to enjoy photos: as desktop screensavers and
wallpaper, on wireless phones and in their homes and offices as prints.
Vineberg Communications' campaign, which included strategic counsel, market
research, and media and analyst relations, resulted in a doubling of Webshots
customers, company profitability, and a #1 ranking by Nielsen//NetRatings.
"Vineberg Communication was able to bring a polished, professional and hands-on
approach to our public relations objectives," said Narendra Rocherolle, Webshots
CEO and co-founder. "In just one year, the perception of Webshots has gone
from one of a dot-com story to a clear category leader."
