Cause Related PR : Music Outreach
Music Outreach, a New York City-based non-profit
organization serving over 45,000 students in New York City public
schools and promoting literacy through music, asked Vineberg Communications
to improve community awareness by creating an event with star power
that would influence key constituents - teachers, donors and politicians.
Vineberg secured actor James Earl Jones
to host a unique Music Outreach program -- the Reading Angel
program -- in which celebrities promote literacy by reading
stories to school children. The event received considerable
media coverage and dramatically increased the organization’s
profile, allowing for program expansion.
